Can you post 1860-1890s Fashion Plates ;),I love yr blog so much and it's a good refrence materials source ^_^
Thank you for your kind words, but unfortunately I don’t collect post 1840s fashion plates. Google books is a wonderful source for 19th Century fashion plates (particularly the latter half of the century). Just type in the name of a fashion publication (La Mode Illustree, Le Moniteur de la Mode, and Godey’s Lady’s Book are some common titles) and hit search. In the search results, look down the left hand column and hit the “free google ebooks” link, which will give you all of the results that have the full text available. Play around with it for a while, because it can take some time to get the hang of how to use it easily. WARNING: Google Books is the ultimate time suck. I frequently get lost for HOURS.
Howdy folks! I’m on vacation for a few days, so I’ll get back to posting next week! Until then, why don’t you take a gander at my favorite fashion plates or perhaps plates from one of my favorite publications- La Belle Assemblee.
