Magasin des Modes, January 1788.

I want a tiny version of him to put in my pocket and take out at work whenever I’m bored!

Journal des Luxus, 1788.

What an unusual and charming outfit.  Doesn’t she look comfortable?

Magasin des Modes, March 1787.

I do see how this could be classified as green and PINK, but it’s my blog and I’ll look for any justification I can find to post SLAMMIN’ riding habits, thank you very much!

Journal des Luxus, April 1792.

I LOVE this, especially paring the green with red and black accessories!

Gallerie des Modes, 1779.

Sorry for my absence over the last few days!  Our intwerwebs have been in revolt, buy my genius IT guy fella gave them the what-for and now I’m back!

Gallerie des Modes, 1778.

Purple and yellow!  Always a beautiful combination!

Gallerie des Modes, 1779.

This is a very charming outfit.  I love all the white trim, and her lovely walking stick!

And do mine eyes deceive me, or do I see a pocket on her petticoat?

Gallerie des Modes, 1779.

I really love the purple and yellow together- not two colors I would think to pair, but they balance each other well!

The plates from Magasin des Modes are typically three figures on one large fold-out page.  I like to split them up because it allows you to focus on the individual garment, and it is easier for me to categorize them.  However, I couldn’t bear to split these up.  I was just too charmed by their little trip up the stairs!

Journal des Luxus, 1786.

Guh- I love this.  These simple masculine fashions are so appealing to me!  Her teeny-tiny buttoned double breasted waistcoat is making me drool…AND!  A fuzzy beaver-fur hat!

Journal des Dames et des Modes, 1822.

Well hello there, handsome!

Journal de la Mode et du Gout, June 1791.

That green is AH Mazing, especially paired with that cross-hatched waistcoat and that talllll hat!  You are quite the dapper gentleman, sir!

Journal des Luxus, 1791.

Exquisite blue riding habit!  Love the striped waistcoat peeking out and that fabulous hat.

Journal de la Mode et du Gout, February 1790.

The subtle black and grey stripes of the coat are wonderful!

Look at those trousers!  Nice and tight!  Pointy shoes and green gloves are a nice addition!
